We are currently trying to set up a UK English version of our US English website.
In simple terms, we want to be able to duplicate each page of US English content into UK English content, and pre-set which words we want to find and replace on each page. We want to do this across the site.
We can't figure how to do this in a simple way and keep running into problems with losing content, or the URL changing incorrectly. Could we please get some assistance?
If it does not work, please share some screenshots of the issue and I also need more information on your site by sharing the debug info. If you don’t know how to share the debug info, please follow this article https://wpml.org/faq/provide-debug-information-faster-support/

I have set all content to duplicate as default as we are translating from EN-US to EN-GB. But category pages are not working. So for example: outofoffice.com/the-maldives when putting en-gb before the URL is going to this page and also not showing the correct content.
So the URL should be: hidden link but instead it's redirecting to blank content on hidden link
Also, by way of feedback, we have had to select about 20 pages at a time to duplicate. It would be useful if there was a one click button to duplicate. English US and English UK are very similar so want to duplicate everything before making a few tweaks.
To add some further information to this now we've set up everything else, it looks like categories have been created multiple times. How do we fix this?
I have resolved the last two bits of the thread... but now I see in ACF we have field duplication - how can this be fixed as well as fixing the URL appending issue?
New threads created by Long Nguyen and linked to this one are listed below:
Checking the redirection of the English UK language on your site with this tool hidden link, I see it is redirected to English US.
Please check this screenshot hidden link
So I think it could be redirected by a third-party plugin or a block of code on your site. Please try to enable a minimal environment as below and see if it helps:
- Deactivate all non-WPML plugins (specific Redirection plugin).
- Switch to a standard theme of WordPress.
According to the debug info, I also see the "Browser language redirect" option is enabled in WPML > Languages, so you should try again with IP from the UK to see if this option works.
We can handle one issue per ticket only so I will split this ticket into a new one for your new issue with ACF fields.
Thanks Long, I think we have resolved a few of the issues. The main issue though remains that the URL of en-gb categories are being appended with en-gb. How do we prevent this happening?
