Hello,

Thank you for contacting WPML Support. I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take better look at the issue. You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

Our Debugging Procedures

I will be checking various settings in the backend to see if the issue can be resolved. Although I won't be making changes that affect the live site, it is still good practice to backup the site before providing us access. In the event that we do need to debug the site further, I will duplicate the site and work in a separate, local development environment to avoid affecting the live site.

Privacy and Security Policy

We have strict policies regarding privacy and access to your information. Please see:
https://wpml.org/purchase/support-policy/privacy-and-security-when-providing-debug-information-for-support/

**IMPORTANT**

- Please make a backup of site files and database before providing us access.
- If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box. The private box looks like this: hidden link

Please, let me know if you need any additional details. Have a nice day.

Hello,

Thank you for the provided details. I rescanned your strings in order to find this specific string, but it seems it is not translation ready or it is coming from any hidden setting, this is why I detailed investigation is needed here, for that, please consider:

To best troubleshoot the issue, please make a snapshot of your site using the Duplicator plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/. This will allow me to try and duplicate the error so that I can run further tests without interrupting your live site.

Once the snapshot is complete, either upload the snapshot ZIP file and the installer.php file to a file sharing service such as Dropbox (and share the link in your reply) or right click the Duplicator links in your wp-admin and paste in your reply.
Please note: It is important to reduce the size of the package so please exclude some paths like /cache or /uploads and also exclude archives and media files.I will also need the username and password of an account that was created BEFORE creating the duplicator package.I will enable the next reply to be private so only you and I have access to it!

Thank you for your collaboration. Have a nice day.

Hello,

Thank you for the provided details and sorry for the bit of waiting here. I took a detailed look in your website using the provided duplicator package and noticed the text 'View All' is not translation ready in your theme files, here are the results of my investigations:

1 - In your 'widget-type.php' from theme_folder/framework/widget directory, you have this line of code around the line 570:

echo '</ul><div style="padding:10px 0px;"> <a href="'.get_term_link($term->term_id).'" class="custom-link hvr-icon-wobble-horizontal kblnk">View All '.$term->count.' </a></div>

Note the 'View All' text from the code above is not called in a gettext function, when doing so WPML is not able to 'see' this text for translation.

2 - Instead of the above you should call your code like this:

echo '</ul><div style="padding:10px 0px;"> <a href="'.get_term_link($term->term_id).'" class="custom-link hvr-icon-wobble-horizontal kblnk">'. esc_html__('View All', 'manual') . ' ' . $term->count . '</a></div></div>';

See:

https://codex.wordpress.org/Plugin_API/Filter_Reference/gettext

3 - Now, you can rescan your theme files again from your WordPress Dashboard > WPML > Theme and Plugins Localization settings, in order to make the new strings available for translation at WordPress Dashboard > WPML > String Translation

See:

https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/theme-localization/#scanning-themes-for-texts

https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/

Hope it helps, have a nice day.
