I am trying to: set a static front page by using Home Page 05.

Home Page 05 page template is not created by WordPress Pages, but it is the customized feature coming with Buntington Education theme (bought from ThemeForest) to stylize the front page layout especially.

When I select an option created from the WordPress page type for a static front page, it works! But if I use a page from the Home Page (theme's home page creator), it doesn't work.

URL of (my) website where problem appears: hidden link

I expected to see: The front page uses Home Page 05 as a template.

Instead, I got: The front page uses a default template.

Please ask me if you need FTP info or access to the website.

Thank you,

Please go to WPML > Support > Debug Information and give me the information in the next reply. You can read the detailed instruction here:

The theme Buntington Education is currently not in our WPML Theme Compatibility list:

If you disable WPML, the problem persists or not?
If there is no WPML, how can you change the homepage?

Can you please send the theme in your next private reply?

- You should use a storage service (like Google Drive, Dropbox...) and send the link in the reply.
- Check again and send me the latest version of theme.

Thanks for your info.

OK. I used your theme file to test. I have the same problem.
The theme author is using another post_type=hom_page to create home pages. And they are not WordPress pages by default, so WPML does not work with them.

In short this is a compatibility problem. I'm afraid of that we can not give help in this case.
We need to work with theme author to resolve it.

I have forwarded the details to our Themes & Plugins Compatibility Team and they will contact the author.

Please note that this process may take a while as it depends on how soon the author will reply to our efforts to contact him.

It would be great if you can also contact the author asking him to reply us and apply to our Go Global program: . This may help expedite the process.

We are closing the ticket but we will keep it in our records and once the plugin is compatible with WPML we will notify you.

In the case you need the fix quickly, we recommend contacting one of our certified partners:

I got it.

I'm closing this ticket now.

Our compatibility team is contacting both you and the theme author.
