I am trying to update my site key by unregistering as described at https://wpml.org/faq/install-wpml/#unregister. However, nothing happens when I click that button. The message stays like:
"WPML is registered on this site. Your Lifetime account gives you updates for life"
My goal is to update the plugin but it seems stuck right now, when I go to the logs (wp-admin/admin.php?page=otgs-installer-support) the checkmarks are green for
- WPML API server
- Toolset API server
The Installer Log show something interesting, the key that is used is not the one I got when I added the site - to me it seems like an administrative issue (this site might have duplicate keys on different accounts...)
Can you look into this issue and help me out please? I'm currently stuck and unable to update outdated plugins...
What are your results if you go to Plugins->Add new->Commercial tab->Check for updates?
As you are currently using version 4.5.2 you might need to manually update this time to the latest version as it is quite a jump (23 versions difference)
2. Deactivate the existing WPML plugin and add-ons.
3. Delete the plugin files – this does not delete your translations. You will simply delete the plugin files from your "wp-content/plugins" folder NOT the database records.
4. Download the updated plugins from our servers and upload them to the plugin directory.
5. Activate the WPML plugin and add-ons.
