Well the ajax error is something which doesn't occur in 4.0.4 (it works there) and without changing anything else on any theme/plugin, I update WPML to 4.0.5 and then the ajax error comes.

So I don't immediately think that it comes from any of my plugins. Those have been debugged till infinity.

So far, it appears to be working, but I didn't use the save function yet, because I set that already when on 4.0.4.

The steps you advise me to take, is that regarding the ajax error ?
Otherwise I see no need right now because it appears to be working.

Hi,

The steps I provided were for the ajax error, but if the error disappeared then there is no need to do them 🙂

Best regards,
Carlos

I haven't saved anything to avoid having to save it with v4.0.5.
I saved the setting in 4.0.4 since I experienced problems with saving it 4.0.5.

If your steps are to benefit that, I can try it....

Hi,
Thanks for your latest message.

Does this issue persists with the v4.0.5 in a minimal setup?

Regards,
Carlos

Hi there,

I'm sorry. Minimal setup is when you only have activated a default WordPress theme and WPML plugins.

Carlos

Hi,

In this case I would like to ask you to activate the debug mode in the site and let me know if there is some error messages in the debug.log file.

In this link you will find the steps to activate the debug mode: https://codex.wordpress.org/Debugging_in_WordPress

Looking forward to your answer.
Best regards,
Carlos

That's on by default and nothing shows. Otherwise I would have investigated that first before reporting it 😉

Hi there,

Good to know 🙂

I have set your next answer private. Could you share a download link with a copy of the site (I suggest to use Duplicator plugin) so I can install it in a local environment and run more tests without affecting the live site?

Best regards,
Carlos

Hi there,

The copy of the site didn't worked on a local environment.

I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to create the copy of the site. You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

Regards,
Carlos

As I mentioned before, I can't give you ftp access.

I gave you a zip which is a full export of the site, minus the sql which was in the duplicator link.
Plz recheck the message which contains the links to the zips.

If you can not make that work, please ask a senior support agent who can make this work to look into this because what I gave you is a full working version/export of the site (minus the sql).

It is not a default install, so please read the readme and check the wp-config.

I can re-upload the export from my web folder again... but that's all I can do.... if you don't succeed then, I would recommend asking someone else.

I have re-uploaded the file site-export.zip and included the sql now as well, just to make sure.
