I am trying to: translate a footer text (bottom left)

Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link

I expected to see: "At ABAS, our 37-year experience and expertise have helped us to strongly position and establish our company, in the audiovisual industry, as the market’s leading professional integrators." in translation string.

Instead, I got: cant find text in translation string

Hi and thank you for contacting WPML Support!

I will be happy to help you with this.

From what I can see in the code, you are using a widget there so my recommendation is for you to use the steps in the link below:
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-widgets/displaying-different-widgets-for-different-languages/

Please let me know how that goes and if that solved the issue.

I will be waiting for your response.

Kind regards,
Mihai Apetrei

I see.

Thank you for informing me about that.

Then, I think it might be saved as an admin text string.

Please follow the procedure below and let me know if that solved your issue.

This should be the normal process to translate admin texts:
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-theme-options/

If you still can't find it, I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

Our Debugging Procedures

I will be checking various settings in the backend to see if the issue can be resolved. Although I won't be making changes that affect the live site, it is still good practice to backup the site before providing us access. In the event that we do need to debug the site further, I will duplicate the site and work in a separate, local development environment to avoid affecting the live site.

Privacy and Security Policy

We have strict policies regarding privacy and access to your information. Please see:
https://wpml.org/purchase/support-policy/privacy-and-security-when-providing-debug-information-for-support/

**IMPORTANT**

- Please make a backup of the site files and database before providing us access.

- If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box.

The private box looks like this: hidden link

I will be waiting for your response.

Kind regards,
Mihai Apetrei

Hi. Sure!

You would need to go to WPML > String Translation > Translate text in admin screens > search on the page for "theme_mods_consulting-child" > click on it > scroll down until you find "footer_text" > check the box > scroll down the page and save.

Now you should find those strings when you go back to WPML > String Translation and search for a part of the text in the footer ("year experience and expertise" for example).

Here is a gif that might help you with that:

I already added the field, all you need is to translate it. 🙂

Please let me know if this solved your issue or if you still need help.

I will be waiting for your response.

Kind regards,
Mihai Apetrei
