This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

My language on front-end language – the one visitors see is Serbian - how to change the language of the Elementor editing interface to English because it's much easier for me in English.

Solution:

1. On your WordPress installation go to/wp-content/languages/plugins/.

2. Delete Elementor's .mo and .po files into Serbian. You can also move those files elsewhere and keep them in case you need them later on.

3. Go to WPML -> String Translation.

4. From "Select strings within domain" select "elementor'.

5. At the bottom of the table press "Select strings within domain".

6. Select all the strings.

7. At the bottom of the table, press the 'Delete the selected strings' button.

Now, Eelentor's editing strings will be in English.

Hi.

OK, I get the issue now.

Since Elementor editor is, in fact, working on the front-end of the site, the language is determined by the front-end. Therefore, you can do the following.

1. On your WordPress installation go to/wp-content/languages/plugins/.
2. Delete Elementor's .mo and .po files into Serbian. Please see the attached screenshot.

Please let me know if this information is helpful to you.

Regards,
Itamar.

If I delete .mo and .po files will that cause a problem when I translate from Serbian to English from front-end of the site?

Hi.

No, you should have no issue to translate from Serbian to English with WPML and Elementor. The translation is not being done on the front-end. It is being done on WPML's Translation Editor. Please review our instructions at the following link on how to work with WPML and the Elementor plugin?
https://wpml.org/documentation/plugins-compatibility/elementor/

Those .mo files contain the translations almost or only for the strings in the Elementor itself. Strings of the editing interface of Elementor. So there should be no problem to translate your texts from Serbian to English. In any case, do not permanently delete those .mo and .po, just move them and keep them in an external folder. You can also always go to WPML -> Theme and plugins localization and scan the Elementor plugin again for its strings, and they will show once again in the String Translation section. More about this at the following link.
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/theme-localization/

Please let me know if this information is helpful to you.

Regards,
Itamar.

Hi and thanks for the access details.

I've fixed the issue on your site. The editing language of Elementor is not English even on the Serbian pages.
Please see the attached screenshot elementor-in-en.jpg.
Can you please confirm that the issue is fixed now?

Thanks,
Itamar.
