But when i try to update the already translated pages, it is still showing ORiginal language as Italian Not English... We like to translate those from English... Please check the screenshot...
What you reported is the expected behavior, for the already created posts/pages even if we change the default language of the website, the pages and posts will still hold their source language.
To change this configuration, you'll need to apply the following procedure from this link as a workaround, for each desired page. In summary, after following the correct steps, you will be prompted with a dialog asking if you want to change the page’s original language.
Please bear in mind that:
- We recommend to translate the existing posts/pages using the manual method
- if you want to use ATE, however, the posts/pages will need to be translated again - since the translation memory is only for Italian to the other languages.
You can use ATE for newly created posts/pages as now the English language is set as the main one.
I only have access to the Italian version so that's why I was seeing only that configuration.
Please check on WP-Admin -> Users -> Profile -> WPML language settings section and make sure that the checkbox next to "Set admin language as editing language." is unchecked, click update profile at the bottom of the page and check if the issue persists.
Let me know if this works for you,
Marsel
