Hi,

its about the website hidden link (english). We are using WPML to translate it to dutch hidden link using a subdirectory.

For SEO reasons we want to change the way we do it to 2 different domains: hidden link (english) and hidden link (Dutch).

How can I accomplish this from the way the site is set up now? Will I have to do most of it manually again? Or is there a way to quickly set this up?

Looking forward to your reply.

Hi,

Thank you for contacting us. Initially, you will need to change the default language domain to be the primary domain of your site. You should only configure the domain normally as if you were using only one language.

For the secondary language, you must configure the secondary domain as an alias. Both domains should be able to access the site. Once this happens, you must configure WPML in WPML> Languages> Language URL format.

You should follow the steps in our documentation to configure the secondary domain: https://wpml.org/2016/04/use-wpml-different-domains-per-language/

Please, let me know if I can help with any other questions you may have about it. I'll be happy to help.

Thank you.
