Background of the issue:
I am trying to make small edits to the default language page using WP Bakery, and I am experiencing issues with WPML translations. I also attempted to change a string on the home page using the string translation editor.
Symptoms:
After making small changes to the original page, unrelated strings lose WPML tags and need to be redone manually.
Also, updating a string in the string translation editor causes most of the translated page to revert to the original language, and the translation editor shows missing text.
Questions:
Why does a small change to the page or a string cause such a massive issue?
Is there a conflict with WP Bakery causing WPML to override and erase translations?
