I notice there are two cookies sitting on our client's website.

As you might be aware that the cookie laws in Europe have changed with effect from 26th May 2012, is there a way that we could disable cookies or have some sort of a 'cookie consent' message?

Many thanks in advance.

Dear Charles,

Thanks for your information, I am afraid disabling the cookies might affect the functionality of your site.

You may give a try installing Cookie Control Plugin

Cookie Control is a simple mechanism to enable you to comply with UK and EU law on cookies, you need to determine which elements of your website are using cookies (this can be done via a Cookie Audit ), and ensure they are connected to Cookie Control.

Could you please paste a link to where I can read these European regulations?

These cookies are not against you. They are intended to allow WPML to do browser language detection and they only work when you enable that functionality in WPML.

We don't mind adding an explanation text about this, next to the checkbox. I'd just like to see that regulation to understand what we need to print.
