This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The client was trying to use the CookieYes plugin on a multilingual site with different domains for each language. The plugin was not working on the second domain.
Solution:
The client resolved the issue by purchasing an additional subscription for CookieYes for the second domain. They uninstalled the plugin from the site and added the banner via Google Tag Manager, creating two CookieYes tags within the same workspace, one for each domain. This approach requires an additional CookieYes domain subscription, as CookieYes allows only one free domain. An alternative might be creating separate CookieYes accounts, but that could be inconvenient.
If you're experiencing a similar issue, we recommend checking if the CookieYes plugin is officially compatible with WPML by visiting https://wpml.org/plugin/cookie-law-info/. Additionally, you can refer to the CookieYes documentation for translations at https://www.cookieyes.com/documentation/translations-in-cookieyes-wordpress-plugin/.
Please note that this solution might be irrelevant due to being outdated or not applicable to your case. If so, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins.
