We have an issue with cornerstone and wpml on our site. The problem is that while updating the primary language page in cornerstone, it overrides the secondary language page contents with primary langauge page. Our site has two languages: Swedish and English. We have for eg. created a page in Swedish and its translation page in English. The translated page (English) is set to "translate independantly" and yet every time we make changes to the Swedish page, the English page gets overridden with Swedish version (If English would be set as primary language same thing would happen to Swedish page as well). Updating the pages using the wpml translation editor, however, works fine as does with normal wordpress editor. The issue is only with the "Cornerstone" editor. Our client prefers "Cornerstone" editor to "WPML" translation editor. So we would like to get issue resolved, if possible.

Not sure whether the issue lies with Cornerstone or wpml. We have posted a support ticket to wpml forum as well.

Wordpress version 5.2.2

Plugin versions:
Cornerstone 3.5.5
WPML Multilingual CMS 4.2.7.1
WPML String Translation 2.10.5.1
WPML Translation Management 2.8.6.2

Hi there,

Kindly apologize, I could not reach you through the chat, It has been closed due to some technical issue. I will continue to help you with your issue.

This sounds similar to a known issue with Cornerstone, The issue happens when you use classic cornerstone elements, Can you please confirm whether you are using any classic cornerstone elements in your page content.

To confirm the issue I would like to request temporary access to your site so that I can have a closer look into the issue and compare it with the already escalated thread. I have enabled private fields for you to securely share the required details.

Kind regards
Raja
