This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The client is experiencing several issues with their multilingual WooCommerce site after a recent update. These include overwritten translated URL slugs, internal links reverting to the source language, inability to bulk approve segments in the Advanced Translation Editor (ATE), and the 'Save & Publish' function in ATE not working correctly.
Solution:
We recommended updating WPML and all related add-ons to the latest version, 4.9.5, to benefit from the latest bug fixes, compatibility improvements, and performance enhancements. We advised the client to check for updates in the WordPress dashboard under Plugins → Add New → Commercial and click “Check for updates,” or download the latest versions from My Account → Downloads on wpml.org. We also emphasized the importance of creating a full backup of the database before proceeding with the update.
If the issues persist after updating, or if this solution does not apply due to changes in WPML versions or specific site configurations, we recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that the latest versions of themes and plugins are installed. If problems continue, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum for further assistance.
