Dear support,

This is a general question since I'm using WPML on multiple websites.
I want to run a database optimization plugin, such as WP-Sweep or WP-Optimize.

Do you have a recommended one to clean the database and optimize performances that works well with WPML tables?

Thanks!

The WPML have a tool to optimize its own tables. Please, before following the steps below, back up your database.

On the WPML > Support > Troubleshooting. Look for 'Clean up' and click on the "Remove ghost entries from the translation tables" button.

This will removes entries from the WPML tables that are not linked properly. Cleans the table off entries left over upgrades, bug fixes or undetermined factors.

Please let me know if you are satisfied with my answer and if I can help you with any other questions you might have.

Thank you.
