I am trying to:

Link to a page where the issue can be seen:hidden link

I expected to see: Sidebar widgets (using Content Blocks and Content Aware Sidebars) translated when I switch between languages

Instead, I got: Translated pages display the Default Sidebar

Hello,

Thank you for contacting WPML Support. I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take better look at the issue. You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

Our Debugging Procedures

I will be checking various settings in the backend to see if the issue can be resolved. Although I won't be making changes that affect the live site, it is still good practice to backup the site before providing us access. In the event that we do need to debug the site further, I will duplicate the site and work in a separate, local development environment to avoid affecting the live site.

Privacy and Security Policy

We have strict policies regarding privacy and access to your information. Please see:
https://wpml.org/purchase/support-policy/privacy-and-security-when-providing-debug-information-for-support/

**IMPORTANT**

- Please make a backup of site files and database before providing us access.
- If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box. The private box looks like this: hidden link

Please, let me know if you need any additional details. Have a nice day.

Hello,

Thank you for the provided details. Unfortunately I am not able to access your wp-admin as I get a 'Access Denied (HTTP ERROR 403)' message. Can you please review it and let me know how to access your WordPress Dashboard? If you are not able to provide a direct access to your production website you can provide us with a duplicator package, so we can inspect it locally. For that, please, consider:

To best troubleshoot the issue, please make a snapshot of your site using the Duplicator plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/. This will allow me to try and duplicate the error so that I can run further tests without interrupting your live site.

Once the snapshot is complete, either upload the snapshot ZIP file and the installer.php file to a file sharing service such as Dropbox (and share the link in your reply) or right click the Duplicator links in your wp-admin and paste in your reply.
Please note: It is important to reduce the size of the package so please exclude some paths like /cache or /uploads and also exclude archives and media files.I will also need the username and password of an account that was created BEFORE creating the duplicator package.I will enable the next reply to be private so only you and I have access to it!

Thank you for your collaboration. Have a nice day.

Hello,

Thank you for the provided details. I took a detailed look in your website using the provided duplicator package. Here is how you can proceed to make your custom sidebar to appear in your translated page:

1 - Click to edit your 'Volta Elastic Virtual Routing Engine' page in the default language from your WordPress Dashboard > Pages settings. See attached screenshot (customer_screen_01)

2 - Choose to edit your translated page using the default WordPress page/post editor from the 'Language' box. See attached screenshot (customer_screen_02)

3 - Now assign your custom sidebar to the translated page as well. See attached screenshot (customer_screen_03).

4 - Repeat the same steps for any other translated page where the custom sidebar is missing.

Note: You also need to make sure your widgets are translated to the secondary languages. See: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-widgets/

Please, let me know if it helps, have a nice day.
