I am trying to: change the logo of my website according to my localization and storefront page. I followed the article found https://wpml.org/forums/topic/different-logos-for-different-languages-with-stoefront/ which is very helpful and it seems to be the solution. The problem is I'm faced with an error from WPML " Error: data not saved " and I tried to isolate the issue by disabling other plugins with no hope.

I need your support to try to isolate the issue or find the logs to clearly identify what is the problem to be able to fix it and have the logo localized.

Hello,

Thank you for contacting WPML Support. I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take better look at the issue. You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

Our Debugging Procedures

I will be checking various settings in the backend to see if the issue can be resolved. Although I won't be making changes that affect the live site, it is still good practice to backup the site before providing us access. In the event that we do need to debug the site further, I will duplicate the site and work in a separate, local development environment to avoid affecting the live site.

Privacy and Security Policy

We have strict policies regarding privacy and access to your information. Please see:
https://wpml.org/purchase/support-policy/privacy-and-security-when-providing-debug-information-for-support/

**IMPORTANT**

- Please make a backup of site files and database before providing us access.
- If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box. The private box looks like this: hidden link

Please, let me know if you need any additional details. Have a nice day.

Hello,

Thank you for the provided details. I placed a custom XML code to register your logo option for translation with the WPML String Translation, these are the steps I followed:

1 - In your WordPress Dashboard > WPML > Settings > Custom XML Configuration I placed this snippet of code:

<wpml-config>
    <admin-texts>
        <key name="theme_mods_storefront">
            <key name="custom_logo" /></key>
    </admin-texts>
</wpml-config>

2 - You should now be able to translate it in your WordPress Dashboard > WPML > String Translation under the text domain 'admin_texts_theme_mods_storefront' with the key '[theme_mods_storefront]custom_logo'

See:
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/
https://wpml.org/documentation/support/language-configuration-files/#admin-texts

As regarding your mentioned issue on the admin strings save action, I recommend you to turn on your WP_DEBUG mode and take a look inside the log files stored in your wp-content folder in order to undertand what's going on. From my experience with other related issues it seems to be a permission issue or a blocking ajax request, in any case something related to your server configuration. See: https://wpml.org/documentation/support/debugging-wpml/

Hope it helps, have a nice day.
