Hello,

my ecommerce (woocommerce + wpml) is extremely slow.
I already tried your suggestion but itìs still slow ( I can provide to you an admin account to test personally and may be you can find a solution).

One idea I had is to disable translation for the admin, this to faster the page loading that usually is slow ( 3 seconds where the 72% of the loading time is from wpml)

do you think is possible?

As far I can see this is not possible, due to the way things are programmed, but nonetheless I will consult some developers in our team for feedback.

1) Could you please provide me with the WPML/Woocommerce plugin versions?

2) Which of our "speed improvement suggestions" have you already tried?

Hi Matteo,

Thanks - all plugins are definitely up-to-date.

We should additionally check also if there are hidden PHP errors.
Could you provide us with a PHP error log please?
You can create one like this:

1. Please follow the debugging information provided here: http://wpml.org/documentation/support/debugging-wpml/

2. Navigate through different pages/posts/sections in your shop and also in the backend

3. Copy and paste the contents of error_log.txt on pastebin.com for us to see

Thanks for the feedback + error_log.
As promised, yesterday I ask if its possible to disable the translation only for the admin area. But this is not possible.

Regarding the error_log:

# the first entry
I've seen this error before, and it slows your website down.
You are using WP 3.5.1, right?

# Notices for plugin "dkserestrict"
There are many of them. Could you just as a test deactivate this plugin and see if it makes a difference?

Hi ANdreas,

I'm using wp 3.5.1
I need all the plugins, it's in the (business) nature of woocommerce to work with many "extension" (plugin) to have a normal ecommerce. I tried disabling them, is for that I'm writing this post 🙂 after disabling WPML and string translation the things went fine!

Got your credentials, thanks!
Actually I've checked the error_log again and I think you have a mix of warnings and errors in there which slow down your website.
We will address the problematic SQL queries from lines 1-32, but not the errors of plugin "dkserestrict" and in "widget-woodojo-tweets.php" simply because they are not WPML plugins.

I wonder with this query errors says "Unknown column 'wp_posts.post_type'" - this column definitely exists in your wp_posts database table. Hope I can tell you more about this after I talked to some developers in our team.
