Hello,

after the latest update of WPML, my footer is only displaying the choosen layout and not in the language I switched to.
To display the footer globaly I'm using the new Theme Builder from Divi 4.0.

See vidoe for demo:

Hello there,

I was able to display the translated content once i change the Theme builder, settings to translate only as you have mentioned in your screenshot https://wpml.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/4807613-4784069_SetPostTypesToTranslate.png

So once you set all the below post type to "Translatable - only show translated items"

- Theme Builders (et_theme_builder)

- Templates (et_template)

- Header Layouts (et_header_layout)

- Body Layouts (et_body_layout)

- Footer Layouts (et_footer_layout)

Goto DIVI > Theme builder switch to secondary language the template will be empty where you can add the translated Library elements. I have tested this in a sandbox and works fine. I am not sure whether you have tried to add the template again once the translation preference is changed.

Let me know how it goes.

Kind regards
Raja

Be very careful if someone uses this method, although at first it may seem to work correctly, but at any time the templates of a Theme Builder language can overwrite the templates of the rest of the languages with the consequence of losing all the work done. 🙁

Also an issue for me and many others I assume. Really hoping a timeline or roadmap might be made public so we can at least plan around the issue?

Hi,

This is going into WPML 4.2.7, you can try beta versions before final releases (not recommended for production sites, but are stable versions though):

Hi, any update on this particular issue? I went back to work on a site that I did manage to get working with a global header and swapped images but, now with the above beta release, it's broken once more.
