This is the technical support forum for WPML - the multilingual WordPress plugin.

Elementor users - please update WPML to the latest version to maintain compatibility. More details here - https://wpml.org/changelog/2024/12/wpml-4-6-15-critical-update-for-elementor-sites/
Background of the issue:
I translated my English website, hidden link, into Dutch and connected it to the Dutch domain, hidden link. I want both hidden link and brightnarrative.nl to lead to the Dutch website on all browsers and devices.
Symptoms:
When I enter brightnarrative.nl (without 'www') into all browsers except Chrome, it leads to hidden link. In Chrome, both hidden link and brightnarrative.nl lead to the Dutch website. This happens on all networks and devices (Siteground tested it, too). A 301 redirect in Siteground caused the Dutch site to go offline due to a redirect loop. Siteground checked everything else: DNS settings, .htaccess, etc. Everything is fine there. When I tried to change the URLs under WordPress settings --> General --> WordPress Address & Site Address, that didn't work, either. Siteground doesn't know how to fix this.
Questions:
How can I ensure both hidden link and brightnarrative.nl lead to the Dutch website on all browsers and devices?
I contacted my web designer, who told me he tried disabling WPML to see if that changed anything. He also did that with all other plugins (disable them one by one to see if they caused the issue). Unfortunately, the issue persists.
My web designer is on a vacation now, and I'm afraid to try this again myself—I can't reach him to check if he has created a backup of everything, and of course I need to make sure there is a backup before I try anything like this myself. But he did tell me he already tried this, so I don't think that's the issue.
To debug this issue further, I would need to check your site settings once, for this I would need temporary access (wp-admin and ftp) to your site.
So could you please provide me with those details, you will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. hidden link
