This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You are trying to translate the gallery lightbox content from French to English, but the English version still shows the original French title.
Solution:
We recommend using the WPML Media Translation plugin. First, ensure that this plugin is activated. Then, edit the page using Elementor and enable the title/caption hovering option. This should allow the translated title and captions to appear correctly on the English version of the page.

If this solution does not resolve your issue or seems outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If further assistance is needed, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum.

Thank you for contacting WPML support. While you are waiting for one of my colleagues to take this ticket and work on it, let me provide you with first debugging steps or if I can perhaps help with the issue quickly.

I think you are referring to the titles under the picture when you click on the team - is that correct? If so, where are these titles coming from? Are you entering them in Elementor, or are they pulling from the media as a caption/description/etc?

If they are added in Elementor, you should be able to translate them using the WPML editor when you translate the page. If you don't see them there, let us know what type of Elementor widget you are using to create this, as if it is from a 3rd party plugin add on, it may not be registered for translation.

If the titles are coming from the image titles, you can edit them in the media library by editing your image in the secondary language. You can test one and see if that works.

Please let us know if you need any further assistance and we will be happy to help.

Hi Lauren,

Yes, I am referring to the titles of the pictures in the lightbox. The titles come from the WordPress media library. We have already edited the media in the correct languages : the problem is that the english version is not showing the translated version and keeps showing the metadata in the source language, e.g. French.

Thanks !

Hi,

Thanks for contacting WPML forums support. I'll be glad to help you today.

1) Please log in to this sandbox site. (hidden link)

After that, please create a test page using the Lightbox widget and translate it. If the issue is replicable, kindly let me know how to reproduce it.

2) It's not related to the issue, but according to your Debug.info, the WP memory limit needs to be increased. PHP memory is fine, but WordPress uses 40Mb as default. The minimum requirements for WPML are 128 MB. (Kindly check this page https://wpml.org/home/minimum-requirements/)

You can increase it by adding the following code in your wp-config.php file right before the /* That's all, stop editing! Happy publishing. */ line:

/* Memory Limit */
define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M');
define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M');

Best regards,
Osama

Hi Osama,

I've reproduced the issue on the following page :

The media metadata has been translated and the translated metadata does not show on the French page.

I have changed the translation mode to the classic editor which is what our site uses.

Thanks !

Hi,

I activated the Media Transaltion plugin, edited the page using Elenentor, and enabled the title/caption hovering option in Elementor.

When visiting the French page, the French title and caption appear correctly.

Please check the translated page. (hidden link)

Best regards,
Osama

Ok, great! I did not want to have to add the plugin, but we'll resort to using Media Translation.
