This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The links from the widget translation are leading to 404 page.

Solution:
Make sure that the quotation marks from the end of the link are correct, in the translations added in WPML → String translation area.
From this:

... href="https://www.artificia.pro/ca/politica-privacitat-gdpr'' ...

to this:

... href="https://www.artificia.pro/ca/politica-privacitat-gdpr/" ...

The last pair of quotation marks is different.

Hola,

He probado actualizando permalinks varias veces.

Nota: Tengo esta plantilla instalada:
hidden link

Gracias,
Saludos

Hey Ruben,

Thank you for reaching out to the WPML support!

Could you attach a link to the page where I can see this widget, please? I checked this page:
hidden link

but I couldn't see that widget on it. I would like to have a look at this element and see what's going on. Also, giving me access to the dashboard area would be helpful too. The next reply is set to be private so you can safely send me the credentials.

Thanks,
Radu

Hi Radu,

I would like to try to fix it without giving access to wp content manager since it is a common widget with text in the footer (I attach a screenshot).

As seen in the image that I sent in the initial query, using the same parameters as the original version of the theme (in English), the links with the translations are not loaded and give an error.

If you try it yourself you will see what happens (English version works, translations don't). If you look at the link that appears when you hover over the word it is different (in translations). Could that be the problem?

English:
hidden link

Translations:
hidden link
hidden link

All pages are created correctly:

English:
hidden link
hidden link

Translations:
hidden link
hidden link
-
hidden link
hidden link

Thank you,
Regards

Hey Ruben,

I had a look at the footer widget and I could see that the link from here, for example:
hidden link

is not correct (please see the attached screenshot). You need to check the translation that you added in WPML → String translation and make sure that everything's done correctly.

As I can see, the actual page is working very well here:
hidden link

It's just the link added to the widget that's incorrect.

As I mentioned before, you can give me access to the dashboard area so I can have a look at this and fix the translation for you. I don't know exactly what is the translation that you added in WPML → String translation and that's why I'd like to have a look at this area (to see how to fix this).

Thanks,
Radu

Hey Ruben,

Can you check now the links from here, please?

I checked the footer links from both pages and everything works fine for me now.

Thanks,
Radu

Hey Ruben,

I just changed the quotation marks from the end of the link, in the translations added in WPML → String translation area.
For example, the translation was like this:

... href="<em><u>hidden link</u></em> ...

and I changed it like this:

... href="<em><u>hidden link</u></em>" ...

As you can see, the last pair of quotation marks is different in the first case.

Regards,
Radu
