I am trying to: Preview, save or update a specific type of Post Type.

Link to a page where the issue can be seen: Back-office of the site.

I expected to see: Saved and updated post.

Instead, I got: Error 504

COmment: Attached to this email you will find a report from New Relic which I have generated just now of a transaction which executes for more than 175s. We have tested to change theme to the basic WP themes and deactivate all plugins, WPML. being the last left.

Hello,
Thank you for contacting WPML support.

I would like to ask you to follow this steps in order to isolate the cause of the issue:
- Back up your site first before making any change, this is for security reasons.
- Update all outdated plugins and themes.
- Flush any cache memory that might exists.
- Deactivate all the plugins that are not related to WPML.
- Switch for a moment to a WordPress default theme like Twenty Seventeen.
- If the issue is gone, activate one by one to see with which one there is an interaction issue.

Could you tell me the result of this steps?

Kind regards,
Carlos

Hi Carlos,
We have done all these steps without solving the issue...
Do you have any other ideas?

Hi Arnaud,
Thank you very much for your message.

If you deactivate all WPML plugins, does the issue persists?

Regards,
Carlos

Hi Carlos,

We have not the error when deactivating all WPML plugins.

Thanks

Hi Arnaud,
Thank you very much for your feedback.

Could you describe step by step how to reproduce the issue? Also, does this issue happens with all custom post types?

Regards,
Carlos

Hi,

This happens when you go to Customer Cases and one a specific customer case.
When you are on the specific case, make a change and try to save the page. it creates a 504 error. This only for customer cases. Other custom post types are working without any issues.

Thanks
/Arnaud

Hi Arnaud,
Thank you for your feedback.

I was able to reproduce the issue in the site however the issue disappeared with a new 'Customer Case' that I created for testing purposes: hidden link

Could you confirm that the issue disappear with new Custom Cases? Also, could you tell me if the other Custom Cases where imported or manually created?

Regards,
Carlos

Hi Carlos,
Thanks for coming back to us.
We could update almost empty pages but the problem persists when we copy the content of another customer case page. It is really weird...
Do you have any clues?

Hi Arnaud,
Thank you very much for your feedback.

I suspect that we might be facing some kind of compatibility issue. i would like to ask you to follow the steps described in this link and let me know if the issue persists: https://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/using-wpml-with-the-avada-theme/

Carlos

Hi Carlos,
We have now found a working solution. The fusion builder was having trouble with WPML for some types of containers used only on a specific type of custom post.
This has now been updated and the site is working as planned again.
Thanks for your help!
Have a great day!
