Hi,

I would like to translate the entire website. The translation agency indicates that it needs an xliff file for this. I have already read several tickets, but I cannot see the button.

Do you know what I have to do?

Hello,

Have you send the jobs to translation? Is that screenshot from WPML > Translations?

Can you please confirm you are following these steps:
https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/using-desktop-cat-tools/configuring-xliff-file-options/

Let me know if this points you in the right direction, please.

Kind regards,

Otto

Hi,

From the screenshots you've sent, it looks like you still need to send the jobs to translate.

You will first have to define your user as a local translator, then send the jobs and after that, you will find the jobs in WPML > Translations.

This document explains how to send jobs locally in detail:
https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/

Let me know if this helps.

Kind regards,

Otto

Hi Otto,

I tried to upload a screen recording but unfortunately it is not working.
So this is what I did:

1. Translation rolls I am a translator for every languauge to every language
2. I selected everything from translation dashboard and added to translation basket
3. I opend the translation basket and I send all the items for translation (sometimes this is not working.
4. I am not possible to selected all the items. Some items is written: Translated by Local. If I click on this link I get a Cannot find the batch page.

If I am going to Translations > Translation in queue > 0 translations jobs founded.

My settings:
- How to translate pages and posts:
Enable Use WPML's Classic Translation Editor

- Xliff file options:
Default format xliff 1.2

- New lines character
Enable Do nothing

So, maybe I did something wrong with the set-up? But I cannot find where.

I hope to hear from you.

Hello Eefje,

Thanks!

It may be a bug we are working to solve.

To check if that's the case, try this:
-Go to WPML > String Translation
-Find the string Local under the domain wpml-translation-management in ST and translate to Local

See if the jobs you weren't able to work are now working and if now the jobs appear in WPML > Translations

Let me know your results, please.

Kind regards,

Otto

Hi Otto,

I am not sure if I'm doing it right.

Attached some pictures. Also, I saw a under domain wpml-translation-management and a wpml-translaton-management. Would that be a problem? (Image: xliff file wpml 7)

Hello,

No that should not be a problem.

Did you translate the "Local" string to "Local"? Can you see the jobs in WPML > Translations?

If not, I would need to ask access to the site.

This forum is intended for how-to questions. It seems that the issue that you are experiencing is beyond that and it is more a technical problem.

We committed with the site developer (the license owner, in this case, the user @jelled) that this forum is only for that and we won't mess with his development.
https://wpml.org/2017/09/what-are-end-user-accounts-and-who-needs-them/

So, I am inviting him to this thread, and once he joins we will be able to move forward.

Kind regards,

Otto

Hee Otto,

It still doesn't work or I'm doing something wrong. In addition, I can no longer translate texts on the pages. I get two options: 1: Go to Translation Editor. I get to see 0 items. Second option: "Continue" I get an error message.

See attached for more information.

Kind regards,

Eefje

Hi Eefje,

I am sorry for that.

As soon as the user @jelled steps in, we will be able to move forward. I've already sent him an invite.

Kind regards,

Otto
