I am trying to: position correctly the language switcher flag in the main menu

Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link

I expected to see: the language switcher flag aligned with the rest of the menu

Instead, I got: the flag is in the second line, totally not aligned with the menu

Hello,

Did this issue arise after upgrading to our latest version of WPML?

As a test what are your results if you switch to a dropdown?

If possible I would like to take a closer look at the backend to further test this issue.

**Before we proceed I recommend to please take FULL BACKUP of your database and your website.**
I often use the Duplicator plugin for this purpose See: http://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/

I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to fix the issue.
(preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible)

You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply.
The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

NOTE: if access to the live site is not possible and staging site does not exist please provide me with a duplicator package created with the duplicator plugin.

Thank you,
Bobby

Thank you for the access details!

If possible please review them as I am not able to access the backend of the site.

Thank you, I was able to access it.

If possible please update your theme to the latest version 2.4 , it seems that this is being caused by your theme's menu CSS.

The width in your menu changes and therefore pushes the content down.

For example if you go to WPM->languages->Edit language switcher and add it to the front of the menu it will push a menu item down instead of the switcher.

A quick way to resolve this using CSS would be to increase the width of the menu.

Please add the following in your theme's Additional CSS and let me know your results.

.qodef-vertical-align-containers .qodef-position-right {
    position: inherit;
    float: right;
    z-index: 2;
    height: 100%;
    text-align: right;
    width: 800px;
}

Hi Bobby,

thanks! Now it's better, but still the flag is not aligned with the other menu items. Any idea? 🙂

Try the following CSS and let me know if that's better.

a img {
    border: none;
    padding-bottom: 20px;
}
