We have a website, mainly in German, which we have had completely translated by WPML. Nothing was subsequently changed to the structure of the site.
The legal links in the footer such as terms and conditions, imprint, etc. work in German and English, but not in French, for example.
Why do the links work on the translated English page but not on the French translation?

This does not look like an issue with the footer.
The issue is that the affected translated pages are empty.
Please revise on WPML > Translations if there are available reviews for those contents that need to be completed. It might be that those pages are still saved as drafts. Completing the reviews should publish the pages.
You can also use the Bulk Dropdown-Option on WPML > Translation to apply for reviews in bulk without revising them one-by-one. You only need to mark the jobs and use the respective dropdown option.

I suggest that you open the affected content inside the WPML Translation Editor and revise if they are completed to 100%.
If this does not clarify the issue, I would like to offer to have a closer look at the problem and request temporary access (wp-admin) to the website to investigate this issue further.

Du hattest "Wiederverwendbare Blöcke" unter WPML > Übersetzungen, welche den Status " Entwurf — Überprüfung steht aus" hatten.
Da diese Blöcke nicht veröffentlicht wurde, waren die Inhalte nicht sichtbar.
Zudem musste ich unter WPML > Einstellungen > Benutzerdefinierte Felder übersetzen, das Feld "used_in_locations" auf "Kopieren" stellen, damit die Anzeigebedingungen der Blöcke auf die übersetzen Blöcke entsprechend kopiert werden.
