Hello,

Thank you for contacting WPML Support. I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take better look at the issue. You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

Our Debugging Procedures

I will be checking various settings in the backend to see if the issue can be resolved. Although I won't be making changes that affect the live site, it is still good practice to backup the site before providing us access. In the event that we do need to debug the site further, I will duplicate the site and work in a separate, local development environment to avoid affecting the live site.

Privacy and Security Policy

We have strict policies regarding privacy and access to your information. Please see:
https://wpml.org/purchase/support-policy/privacy-and-security-when-providing-debug-information-for-support/

**IMPORTANT**

- Please make a backup of site files and database before providing us access.
- If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box. The private box looks like this: hidden link

Please, let me know if you need any additional details. Have a nice day.

I just realized - I created translation by using duplicate page - and then doing translation on the page itself - and I read some forums that's not a good idea. So a better idea is to go classic translator

Hello,

Thank you for the updates and sorry for the bit of waiting here. I took a detailed look in your WordPress Dashboard and not translation is found in your list of pages, translatio jobs, etc. Which steps did you take in the migration process? It seems you database content was replaced with new content instead of keeping your stagging content.

Do you have a backup of your previous stagging environment where the translations were working? Also, if it is possible I would like to take a look at your database tables in order to investigate it there's any translations on it, for that, please provide me with some database management access, it can be done via your host panel, cpanel, vhm, plesk etc.

I will enable a private reply, so you can safely provide these access details. Thank you for your collaboration, have a nice day.

yes i do not think i was translating it properly. because i use divi i was making duplicates.. but now i just click on + sign next to page , and do translation in the wpml Page translation.. just want to confirm - once i do translation this way - it should not dissapear again when plugins get updated (both wpml and divi) right? thanks

Hello,

Thank you for the updates. The update process doesn't (or shouldn't) cause any adverse effect to your translations, in any case, we always recommend you to keep a backup copy saved before proceeding with any plugin update. Please, let me know if it helps, have a nice day.
