I am trying to: translate the front page to English

Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link

I expected to see: English translation

Instead, I got: a redirect to a page hidden link

What can I do to make sure when I click on English flag is not redirected to a specific page, I want it to be the front page. Thanks

Thanks for the Debug Info. I would eventually also need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to your site
– preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible –
in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed

Your next answer will be private which means only you and I have access to it.

❌ Please backup your database and website ❌

✙ I would additionally need your permission to de-activate and re-activate Plugins and the Theme, and to change configurations on the site. This is also a reason the backup is really important.

Your issue is not WPML relevant. You created in YOAST SEO a 301 Redirect for your /en URL endpoint.

Thanks, I will do that. Also I have the most important question, ever since I have tried to translate to English or French, my websites traffic went down significantly. From a few thousand visitors and this is hurting my business. Has anyone experienced this before with WPML? never had any issue when my site was just Spanish

When I am in the redirects page I don't see what you mentioned. The thing is I never did any redirects
