I am trying to:
translate to French GDPR text and the contact form content as shown in the enclosed images
Link to a page where the issue can be seen:hidden link

I expected to see:
Ce site utilise des cookies et demande vos données personnelles pour améliorer votre expérience de navigation.

Instead, I got:
"This website uses cookies and asks your personal data to enhance your browsing experience."

Hi and thank you for contacting WPML Support!

I will be happy to help you with this.

1. Regarding the contact form, I can see that this is created with the "Contact Form 7" plugin.

Can you please let me know if you had the chance to look over the documentation link below and follow all the steps:
https://wpml.org/documentation/plugins-compatibility/using-contact-form-7-with-wpml/

2. Regarding the widget areas, can you please let me know if you tried the steps in the documentation link below:
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-widgets/displaying-different-widgets-for-different-languages/

3. Regarding the footer copyright text or other strings on the site, The way to translate those strings really depends on how they have been implemented in the code:

a. Can you please let me know if you tried to go to WPML > String Translation and search for any of the words in those sentences?

Here is some very helpful documentation on how to use the String Translation plugin:
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/

If it's not there, it could help if you scan the plugin/theme that's generating the strings and then go back to WPML > String Translation and see if the strings show up:
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/theme-localization/

b. If you can't find it inside the WPML > String Translation, it might be added as admin text.

This should be the normal process to translate admin texts:
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-theme-options/

If you still can't find it, I would like to request temporary access (just wp-admin - you already sent the FTP login) to your site to take a better look at the issue. You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

Our Debugging Procedures

I will be checking various settings in the backend to see if the issue can be resolved. Although I won't be making changes that affect the live site, it is still good practice to backup the site before providing us access. In the event that we do need to debug the site further, I will duplicate the site and work in a separate, local development environment to avoid affecting the live site.

Privacy and Security Policy

We have strict policies regarding privacy and access to your information. Please see:
https://wpml.org/purchase/support-policy/privacy-and-security-when-providing-debug-information-for-support/

**IMPORTANT**

- Please make a backup of the site files and database before providing us access.

- If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box.

The private box looks like this: hidden link

In order to be able to help you faster, can you also please paste your WPML Debug information in the Debug information field?
http://wpml.org/faq/provide-debug-information-faster-support/

I will be waiting for your response.

Kind regards,
Mihai Apetrei

Hi and thank you for the confirmation.

Also, sorry that you had to wait for my response.

I was off my shift when you wrote to me yesterday.

The form was not translated yet (I will attach a screenshot with the confirmation) so I used WPML > Translation Management and I duplicated the form from English to French.

Now, you should be able to translate it here:
hidden link

Please let me know how that goes and if that solved your issue.

I will be waiting for your response.

Kind regards,
Mihai

your documents were very helpful. I was able to translate many textes using string translation. However I could not find the text below my logo in the footer area "Easy finance Academy - Our efforts are focused towards sharpening ..." and also the copyright area was not found

Hi.

Thank you for the confirmation. I am glad that we are making progress.

I went inside WPML > String Translation > Translate texts in admin screens (hidden link) and that's where I was able to find the 2 strings that you mentioned (I am attaching a screenshot below).

I checked the box and saved the page and now you should be able to find the strings at the top of the list when you go inside WPML > String Translation so you can translate them now (hidden link).

Please let me know if that solved the issue. 🙂

Kind regards,
Mihai
