Hi,

Welcome to the WPML Support Team.

One of the main problems use to be that the WordPress installation does not meet memory requeriments. Could you check it? Check the file wp-config.php located in your WordPress root installation directory. Add or change the following lines:

/** WP Memory Limit */
define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M' );
define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M' );

Make sure you modify them before the line:

/* That's all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */

You can also other common problems related to error 500 when activating WPML and other plugins in: https://wpml.org/faq/500-error/

Please, let me know if you managed to solve the problem or you may need further assistance. I'll be glad to help.

Best wishes,
Óscar.

We have detected a problem with some tables in the database. Please contact WPML support to get this fixed.

Table 'getsmileclub_com.SERVMASK_PREFIX_icl_strings' doesn't exist
Array
(

[context] => admin_texts_sharing-options
[gettext_context] =>
[domain_name_context_md5] => 19466a63f198a7aa0b7f99e32c6bf70b
[name] => [sharing-options][global]sharing_label
[value] => Share this:
[status] => 0
[translation_priority] => optional
[allow_empty_value] => 1

Hi,

Thank you for your reply.
It looks like the WPML installation and activation was not successful.

There a way to fix it. Please, edit the file functions.php in your theme and add the following lines at the end:

function wpml_fix_missing_icl_tables() {

    if( function_exists( 'icl_sitepress_activate' ) )

        icl_sitepress_activate();

}

add_action( 'wp_footer', 'wpml_fix_missing_icl_tables' );

Then, visit the home page once. After that, you can remove this code.
If you don’t know how to do it, do not worry, just tell me and I’ll be glad to help.

Please, also let me know if your issue was solved.

Best wishes,
Óscar.

We just cannot get this plugin to work without putting the site offline due to errors and restoring backups to get it back on. We tried all of the ideas but nothing works.

Is there anyway you can try to install the plugin and fix the issues?

Hi,

Sure, I'll be glad to help.

I would like you to request temporary access to your site. The best way to do it is to create a new user with administrator privileges, and share with me the credentials in the provided input boxes.

In addition, a will need FTP credentials in case I need manually to update the plugins. Could you provide them as well?

Please, make sure you have a full backup of your site before granting me access. This is mandatory before accesing to you site.

Thank you for you collaboration,
Oscar.
