I am trying to: The admin panel's language core, I've installed WordPress in English but other language's admin panel does not work even if I change from user's default language in the user's profile page as administrator.

URL of (my) website where problem appears: Website has not been launch live and would like to keep private.

I expected to see: The sidebar and settings within the administrator page would be using different language

Instead, I got: English as default language

Hello Timothy,

To translate WordPress admin panel it is necessary to have uploaded valid .mo file for each language.

My recommendation is to check this links first:
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/setting-the-wordpress-administration-language/
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/theme-localization/downloading-wordpress-translations/

If you have any other question, or need help with configuration feel free to ask me here.

Thanks, Ivan
