I am trying to:Translate homepage. After clicking "Copy content from English" the content builder I have with the theme shows nothing - if I go to "Classic Editor" I see all the html (in code view)

Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link

I expected to see: hidden link or copy of that.

Instead, I got: Just see the title & footer - without content.

Hello,

Thank you for contacting WPML Support. I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP currently you provided just the FTP access, the WP Dashboard access is also required), to your site to take better look at the issue. You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

Our Debugging Procedures

I will be checking various settings in the backend to see if the issue can be resolved. Although I won't be making changes that affect the live site, it is still good practice to backup the site before providing us access. In the event that we do need to debug the site further, I will duplicate the site and work in a separate, local development environment to avoid affecting the live site.

Privacy and Security Policy

We have strict policies regarding privacy and access to your information. Please see:
https://wpml.org/purchase/support-policy/privacy-and-security-when-providing-debug-information-for-support/

**IMPORTANT**

- Please make a backup of site files and database before providing us access.
- If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box. The private box looks like this: hidden link

Please, let me know if you need any additional details. Have a nice day.

Hello,

Thank you for the updates and sorry for the bit of waiting due the weekend. I took a closer look in your website and noticed your page builder is defined in post custom fields, in this case, you need to make sure all the custom fields related to your page content is defined as 'copy' (see attached image), this way the content will be copied to your translated page on the page duplication process.

See: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-custom-fields/

Please, let me know if it helps or if you still need any additional clarifications and details. Have a nice day.

Hi,

Is it safe to make all those system fields set to copy? As there are 14 pages of them.

Thanks

Hello,

Thank you for the updates. It is safe to check any field you need its content copied to your secondart language as 'copy'. For your particular case after a simple test I recommend the following approach in order to translate the content of your pages created with your website page builder:

1 - Click to add/edit a page from your WordPress Dashboard > Pages add/edit your content using your website page builder, then use the duplicate feature of WPML to create an exact copy of your page to your secondary language.

2 - Click to edit your duplicated content and add your changes for your secondary language content using the default WordPress page/post editor.

You can see the results of this approach in a test page a created in your website called 'WPML Test Page EN'

It is possible to read all the details of this approach at: https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/using-different-translation-editors-for-different-pages/.

Hope it helps, have a nice day.
