Dear Lubos,

You will have to install String Translation module, String Translation module can be downloaded from your wpml shop account under downloads section.

Once you install the plugin, go to wpml -> string translation, search for the title and description text within context WP.

Hello Harshad,

I am using the String Translation but it does not show the option of meta title and meta description. There is only blog title and blog tagline..

Dear Lubos,

How are you adding home page title and description? Is it via theme's option panel?

Can you please attach a screenshot?

Hello Harshad,

please check attached screenshot. There is a "SEO settings" option in the theme's setting.

Dear Lubos,

I think we need to create a language configuration file.
http://wpml.org/documentation/support/language-configuration-files/

Can you please send me your ftp and wp-admin details to my email address?

Please include this forum link for reference.

Dear Lubos,

Thanks for providing the details, like I said we have to create a language configuration file, as the seo data was stored in wp_options table.

I have created the wpml-config.xml file and uploaded it to your theme's root folder.

Now you can translate the title and description from wpml -> string translation or use below link

hidden link

wpml-confog.xml file contains following code

<wpml-config>
<admin-texts>
<key name="genesis-seo-settings">
<key name="append_description_home" />

Hello Harshad,

perfect, thank you, now the String translation shows the meta title, keywords and description. I have translated it but I can't see the translation when checking the translated homepage. Do I need to do anything else?
