Our homepage at hidden link shows German content, but English is
set as the default language in WPML (WPML → Languages → Site Languages →
English is marked as default).
Symptoms:
- The URL is hidden link (no /de/ prefix)
- The language switcher in the navigation shows "English"
- But the page content is entirely in German
Investigation so far:
- In Pages → All Pages (filtered to English), the Home page shows
Language: English in the page panel
- However, when opening the page in Divi Visual Builder, all content
is in German
- It appears the English original page was edited directly with German
content, instead of editing the German translation
We are not sure how this happened and would like a WPML support agent
to join a live screen sharing session to:
1. Review our WPML settings and database configuration together with us
2. Identify the root cause of this language mix-up
3. Advise on the safest fix without losing the existing translations
