This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem: I am unable to translate the strings in my slider. I am using the Smart Slider 3 plugin. The strings do not appear in String Translation.

Solution: Create multiple versions of your slider, one for each language. Add your translated content to each language version, then use the appropriate translated slider on your translated pages.

I am trying to: translate my home page main slider text areas. Slider is implemented with Smart Slider 3, but relative traducciones doesn't appear among my string translation.

How can I duplicate and traslate my secondary 3 languages my website?

URL of (my) website where problem appears:hidden link

I expected to see: My homepage mainslider with traduced text areas, changing referring to site language.

Instead, I got: a same text area language (italiano) for the other 3 site languages (french, spanish and english)

How can I solve?

Hello, and thank you for contacting WPML support. I will be happy to help you with this.

I understand that you're having some trouble translating strings used in your sliders. I have installed the Smart Slider 3 plugin locally to try it out, and I am able to replicate your issue. None of the strings I use for text layers, header layers, or buttons in a slider appear in String Translation. I scanned the plugin for strings, but was unable to find anything translatable. This plugin appears to be incompatible with WPML, and does not appear in our list of compatible plugins:

As a workaround, you may be able to duplicate your Italian slider for each other language. You can then place your translated strings manually in each language's slider, and use the appropriate slider in your translated pages or posts.

Please let me know if you need any further assistance and I will be happy to help.
