Background of the issue:
I am trying to understand how to interpret the translation credit usage report for my website hidden link using WPML.

Symptoms:
Some rows on the credit report generated from my website don't show the permalink.

Questions:
How do I interpret the credit report?
Why don't some rows on the credit report show the permalink?
How can I check when I assigned my credit from WPML to my website?
Why does the generated report show a total credit used of 60000+ while the WPML dashboard indicates a credit assigned of 14000+?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out and sharing the details of the issue you’re experiencing with the translation credit usage report.

Let's go through your concerns together.

The absence of permalinks in some rows of your credit report typically happens when translations are applied to text strings that aren't directly linked to a specific page or post. These could include translations for general website elements like widgets or menus. We’re looking into improving how these are displayed to make the reports clearer.

To better understand the credit report, each row represents a translation task charged against your credits. The report should give you a detailed view of how each credit was used, including the type of content translated and the date it was done. As mentioned earlier, if specific details like permalinks are missing, it usually ties back to non-page-specific translations.

For checking when credits were assigned from WPML to your site If I'm not mistaken, you can view this in the 'Billing' section of your WPML account with a history of all credit allocations and usages, which should help clarify when credits were moved to or from your account.

As for the discrepancy in credit totals, I can tell you what I see from my end.

I can see that 78k credits were assigned to this site, 63428 of which were already used, and 14572 are left. In the full history of this website's credit assignments, I can see that multiple times, a large number of credits were assigned, but then a large percentage of that amount was moved back to the WPML.org account.

I hope this helps clarify things a bit! If there’s anything more we can do to assist, or if you need further explanation on any of these points, please don’t hesitate to let us know. We’re here to help make sure you have the best experience possible with WPML.

Kind regards,
Mihai Apetrei
