On hidden link if you click on the Search Icon, you get a list of dropdowns for such as 'Products', 'Blog', 'Video'.

How do I translate these on other websites such as heskins.es?

Thanks for contacting WPML support.

Please try searching for the strings using the "String Translation" as explained here. https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/

If it's not there, try scanning the theme/plugins as explained here https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/finding-strings-that-dont-appear-on-the-string-translation-page/#scanning-the-theme-and-plugins .

Or, try enabling the "Look for strings while pages are rendered" in WPML > String Translations > Auto register strings for translation. Then, open the page and scan the contents and try searching for the strings using the "String Translation".

Thanks for the info. I ran through those and still can't find them. However, the last item 'Auto register strings for translation' didn't give me an option to search on the opened page?

I would need to take a closer look at your site. So I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed

IMPORTANT: Please, note, a backup is required for security reasons, and to avoid any data loss, you can use the https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/plugin for these backup needs.

✙ I would need your permission to de-activate and re-activate Plugins and the Theme and to change configurations on the site if required. This is also a reason the backup is critical.

Hi

We backup the website every night but would not want any downtime when you deactivate plugins.
You shouldn't need to mess with plugins to see where the translations can be made.

Can you look into this first then if you need to make changes let me know?

I've checked your Website and I can see this error message below on this page as shown in the attached screenshot hidden link . This issue is preventing you from translating the strings on the page.

WPML String Translation is attempting to write .mo files with translations to folder:
/home/heskinscom/heskins/website/web/app/languages

This folder appears to be not writable. This is blocking translation for strings from appearing on the site.

To resolve this, please contact your hosting company and request that they make that folder writable.

For more details, see WPML's documentation on troubleshooting .mo files generation..

Thanks for the info.
I've actually ran through all of the recommendations and that file is writable. I don't know why that message appears?
If I set you up with FTP can you look into it please?

The attached screenshot is what I'm getting when I try to log in using the FTP credentials.

Also, I can see that you've changed the language path to "/home/heskinscom/heskins/website/web/app/languages" .

Could you please try changing it back to the default "wp-content/languages" and see if it works?

As for the moving of folders - I don't think this can be done because it was built with Timber...

Hi, You should be able to access SFTP now.
