Hello,

We need to translate our site into Spanish and Spanish (Columbia). How do we add a second Spanish language when it is not in the list?

Thanks,

Hello @mikee-8, welcome to the WPML support Forum!

Please follow the steps below:

Here is a link where you can download the Colombia flag for free (you may just need to adjust the sizes): hidden link

Please let me know if it worked for you.

All the best,

Thanks Diego,

How do we add a second language for Columbia that uses Spanish? I'm not seeing specific instructions. For example, what would I put these items?

Default locale
Encode URLs
Language tag

The language seems to be pulling translations of admin features, which we would want to be spanish, although it's "Columbian Spanish". So how do we get it to use the Spanish database of translations, yet still be a different Spanish language.

Hi there,

You can use this for Colombia Spanish:
Default locale: es-CO
Encode URLs: No
Language tag: es-CO

Diego
