Hello There,

My website link hidden link

We are using WPML plugin with our website to show it in different languages.

We are using some custom plugins in our website. These plugins are show messages and alerts. Issues is that These Messages are written in programming code according to conditions in Dutch language.

When visitor visit our web site and translate our web from Dutch to English every thing change except these messages.

Now question is
- How to convert these messages?
- How to change text on buttons?

Some buttons are custom and some are of woo commerce's.

For your reference sharing some screen shorts. PFA.

Thanks in advance

Raj

Hi Raj,

Welcome to the WPML support forum. I will do my best to help you to resolve these issues.

Hope you are trying to translate these strings? If so, you can use WPML String Translation for this purpose. Please check the following documentation for more details.

https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/

https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/theme-localization/#translating-the-theme-and-plugins-using-wpmls-string-translation

Can you please share the code you are using displaying strings like *Bestel Online* or *Inloggen* for a better understanding.

To help you faster, I've enabled debug information for this support ticket. Please see this link for how to get this information from your site and give it to us: http://wpml.org/faq/provide-debug-information-faster-support/

Hi Bigul,

As per your request -

"Can you please share the code you are using displaying strings like *Bestel Online* or *Inloggen* for a better understanding."

I'm sharing screen shot of the code we are using. PFA named #Screenshot_6.

Also We are unable to convert copyright message in footer; for this #Screenshot_8.

We go through this document "https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/" but still can not find how to change this text.

Please help me to resolve these issues asap.

Regards
Raj

Hello,

Thank you for the updates. With WPML we can't change the texts, but we can translate it.

The code you are using for listing *Bestel Online* and *Inloggen* button strings are not compatible with WordPress internationalization standards - https://codex.wordpress.org/I18n_for_WordPress_Developers

Please try with the following code and visit the frontend, then check these strings are registered for translation in WPML>>String Translation or not. If so, you can translate this string to English.

<a href="<em><u>hidden link</u></em>"><?php _e( 'Bestel Online', 'little India Restaurant' ); ?></a>

The *Copyright notice* string looks like a theme option string. You can choose it for translation from *Translate texts in admin screens* page of WPML>>String Translation. Please check the following documentation for more details.

https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-theme-options/
