Hi there,

I have tested your page with hreflang audit. It seems the software you are using is reporting errors in capitalized URL of the page hidden link and hence it's giving hreflang errors.

Please refer => hidden link

However, everything seems to be fine while testing from our end please check
hidden link

Audit software may differ and hence we request you to get the errors from Google console. the hreflang test we used is a suggested webportal in google webmaster tool.

Kind regards
Raja

Sorry, I don't trust the tool you used. It looks like scammy service. My software is a premium one and very popular among SEO specialists. I checked it again and it shows not only capitalized URLs.

Here are some screenshots with descriptions so that you developers can understand the issue.

this warnings come with Fallback options, when I switch to Translate Only and brings erros.
You can download this soft and check ourself. They have a free version which will shows those errors. It called Website Auditor (download from here hidden link)

My position are droped by 66% because you trusted idiots from Yoast (hate those idiots)

Hi Karen,

The portal we used is the one suggested in the Google webmaster portal please refer hidden link you can see the suggestions for hreflang checker at the bottom of the page.

Please use the workaround code when you change the option to Translate -only. that will help you.

Kind regards

Hi Karen,

I'm Afraid we cannot check with different audit software as our tests are conducted using Google recommended tools which is more reliable.

I can request you to check with the audit software for the difference between their recommendation and that of the hidden link which is in Google suggested list. hidden link

Raja

thank you for trying to help. I appreciate it.
I guess I have to stay with this on my own.

anyway let's just summarize.

1. If I have two languages and each has translations, I should stick with Translation Option as it adds the hreflang tag to both pages right?

2. If I have two languages and not all pages has translations(in my current case), the plugin ads canonical tag to let Google know that the first language is a main page to avoid duplicates right?

3. What should you recommend to do in my case when I have some pages translated only? In first case it adds the hreflang tag to the main page, but there is no translated page and the auditor shows the error. In my second option it added the canonical tag and my pages with existed translations mislead Google.

Thanks

HI Karen,

Thanks for understanding, let me clarify your question as in the same order

1) Yes, That's right.

2) Yes, Your understanding is correct. Canonical must point to original content in such cases.

3) There are two options for your case you can either use our workaround code to remove the single hreflang code.

For the second option, you can use any SEO plugin to add custom canonical URL, Since you are not in favor of Yoast, Try using All in One SEO pro which also provides the option to edit canonical URL for the page and posts.

Kind regards
Raja

Raja,

I am bit confused with your suggested option.
Can I please try to summarize in my way so I can understand it better?

1. If all of my pages have translations, i should use Translation Only option in the settings.
2. If NOT all of my pages has translations, I use Fallback option in the settings.

3. I have SEO plugin and there is this option hidden link
If i use Fallback option in the settings it already add canonical tag to point to the original, why do I need to edit it again? Can you please explain and I promise I won't bother you after 🙂

thanks

Hi Karen,

Nothing to bother, I try my best of ability to give you a solution.

Yes, your understanding for option 1 and 2 are correct 🙂

Sorry, maybe I am not clear with the third point, If you have the option then its All good.
I thought you want to edit the canonical tag and hence I suggested :). Maybe you can ignore my suggestion on this point.

Let me know if you need further assistance 🙂

Kind regards
Raja
