If I have a live English site and use WPML to export XLIFFs for translation and import the translated XLIFFs back into via WPML, is there a way to not have the translated sites LIVE and instead have them set to draft mode so we can QA the translated sites before going LIVE?

Thank you for contacting WPML Support. In this case you can adjust your 'Translated documents options' option from your WordPress Dashboard > WPML > Settings settings, you have the option to put your documents in 'draft' status. Please, let me know if helps. Have a nice day.
