I have seen this page, but it is outdated and doesn't help: https://wpml.org/documentation/plugins-compatibility/using-wordpress-seo-with-wpml/

I have edited the WordPress shop page SEO title and description in SEO > Titles & metadata > Post types > Archives of custom post types

I have also edited the product categories SEO title and description in SEO > Titles & metadata > Taxonomies > Product categories

But these do not show up in the list of strings in WPML String translation.

Please help.

Hello Caroline,

Thank you for contacting WPML support.

These string considered as WordPress options, So you can translate them like the following:

- Go to WPML > String Translation
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click "Translate texts in admin screens »"
- Look for the string you want to translate (It may be hidden under a combined group of strings)
- So, if you saw (+) icons, Click on them.
- If you found the string you want to translate, Check the check-box beside it.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click apply
- Go to WPML > String Translation
- Search for the string and translate it.

thanks.

Thank you, I didn't know I had to add them manually.

But when I hit Apply nothing happens.
