Background of the issue:
I am trying to translate the biography of a user inside WordPress using WPML. I am following the documentation provided here: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/translating-user-meta-information-with-wpml/

Symptoms:
I can't find the option to translate the user biography. I don't get the pop-up and can't find the string I'm looking for.

Questions:
How can I translate the biography of a user in WordPress using WPML?
Why am I not seeing the pop-up or finding the string for translation?

Hello,

I would like to request temporary access to your site to take a better look at the issue.
It would be better to a testing site where the issue is replicated.

The information you will enter is private, which means only you and I can see and have access to it.
Maybe I'll need to replicate your site locally. For this, I'll need to temporarily install a plugin called “Duplicator” or "All in One WP Migration" on your site.
This will allow me to create a copy of your site and your content.
Once the problem is resolved, I will delete the local site.

**IMPORTANT**
- Please make a backup of site files and database before providing us access.
- If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields, this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields.

Best Regards,
Otto

Hello,

Thanks.

I went to WPML > String translation, at the bottom I expanded "Translate user properties", clicked in "Edit user roles" and the pop up appeared.

I added the Administrator user role to translate the meta.

I set the bio for my user to "foobar". And searched for it in String Translation and was able to find it. Check the screenshot attached.

Can you please elaborate on the issue you are having? As far as I can see, it's working properly.

Best Regards,
Otto
