Background of the issue:
I am trying to import a translated product feed using the built-in Woocommerce import/export tool. The issue can be seen at the following link: hidden link

Symptoms:
Variations are not being added or attributes are not being translated. I also cannot find the attributes at the taxonomy translations.

Questions:
Why are the product variations not being added during the import?
Why are the attributes not being translated?
How can I find the attributes in the taxonomy translations?

Hello,

I apologize for the delay in responding. I will take care of this ticket; the reply time will be shorter now.

How did you create the file to import? Can you share it with us?

Hello Otto,

Thank you for your reply. I have created the file for import as followed:

1. I created an export file from the products in the original language
2. I have duplicated the products in the original language to the translated language
3. In the export file I have added the translations, removed the SKU, and I have changed the order ID from the original language to the order ID in the translated language
4. I have imported the product feed in Woocommerce

When doing this, the taxanomies are not being translated. I have also tried disabling WPML, and importing the translated feed. The taxanomies are being translated, but the variable products still give issues. Also when activating WPML again, the taxanomies are still not visible/translatable in WPML.

I will follow the steps that you sent to me. If you have any other tips for me, feel free to let me know!

Kind regards,

Dennis

Hello Otto,

I have followed your steps and it has worked. All the translations are coming through.

I only have a problem with variable products. The variations are not automatically added. When I try to add them manually, it gives an error. Please see the screenshot attached. Could you please assist?

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hello,

Are the variations not added in the original product or the translation?

If the latter, try this:

1. Navigate to WooCommerce > WooCommerce Multilingual > Attributes tab.
2. Select the attribute from which the variation was created.
3. Click the Synchronize attributes button at the bottom.

Next, go to WooCommerce > WooCommerce Multilingual > Settings tab, click on the Troubleshooting link (bottom right), and select:
- Sync product variations
- Fix translated variations relationships

Click Start to synchronize variations across languages.

If the issue persists, navigate to WPML > Support > Troubleshooting page and press:
- Clear the cache in WPML
- Synchronize posts taxonomies (select 'product' and 'Variation')
- Assign translation status to duplicated content
- Set language information

Best Regards,
Otto
