HI Support,

I do not know what you guys are doing with your support. Its pretty messed up.
I have to give a ton of information read all kinds of stuff like your guys are writing a novel
Its a pain to just put in a ticket with simple question.

I need to know were I can find my sitekey on your site to register my wpml plugin.

Is this ticket open? Really you guys try everything to not get any tickets in.
Giving me all kinds of self seek solutions. You need a normal option were you can ask simple question without all this bullshit.

I will be happy to help you with this.

I am really sorry to hear about this bad experience you are having with the way the support system is set up. I agree that it could be simpler, however, sometimes clients have really deep technical issues and that information is vital for the way the support ticket will progress as that helps us to solve it faster.

And I am honest with you when I say that we get so many tickets, so usually clients that have very complicated issues might be willing to add all that kind of information but for the current situation that you are facing, it's true that you don't need all that information and I am happy that you did not complete those fields.

We are also a pretty big team on multiple time zones so it might take a while to get an answer, depending on who takes your ticket.

So, now let's get straight to what you need:

1. You would first need to generate a site key from your WPML.org account. You can log into your WPML.org account, then go to Your Account > Sites (this is the link: https://wpml.org/account/sites/)

2. Now click on the orange button called "Add new site" and introduce the exact link your site has (pay attention to introduce the link correctly, even check if your site is with http:// or https:// at the beginning). You should be able to find the correct link in your WordPress dashboard > Settings > General

3. Then just save that and you will see the site will generate you a site key. Copy that and add it into your WPML section on your site. You can get there by going to your WordPress dashboard > Plugins > Add new plugins > check the Commercial tab > you will then find the place to copy your key in.

Hi Support,

I fully understand what you are doing with support. It's just annoying that if you have a simple question you have to fill in all kinds of things thats not relevant at all.

I totally understand what you mean and I agree. Totally! 🙂

As I said above, most of the issues we get on our forum are way more complex than the current matter so that information from the client is vital and very helpful in resolving the ticket faster and with as less back and forth communication as possible so that is why we have those fields there but I agree that there should be an extra option for issues that are more minor.
