Hi! table icl_string_pages keeps growing out of control! I found many other posts in the form and did all the recommended settings that you advised other users with. but still, I left the site over teh weekend and came back to see the table size grew to 2GB!!!

Hi,

Thank you for contacting WPML support!

You probably saw this before, but I can only suggest this this point:
https://wpml.org/forums/topic/wp_icl_string_pages-is-far-too-large/#post-3467049

However, there will be some major changes in how all this works in the upcoming versions, some of which are already available. Can you try installing betas on your site (staging of course, not the production site) and check in this is still happening through the course of couple of days?

Regards,
Bruno Kos

I already tried all the fixes mentioned in the previous posts but no luck! I have to manually recreate this table using the button in the support section like once every few days! but this is not a sustainable solution!

Hi,

I'm afraid that currently that is the only way at the moment - however can you see this answer?
https://wpml.org/forums/topic/wp_icl_string_pages-more-than-500mb-reads-writes-all-the-time/page/2/#post-4339977

And also how the discussion went until the end? Betas have already been released and you can try them on the staging site, monitoring how it goes over the couple of days:
