Hello there,
Thanks for your contact, and welcome to the WPML support forum!
As discussed on the chat, have you checked the website performance with the Query Monitor plugin, Google Page Insights, or GTmetrix? If you have, let us know about the results, please.
Further, bear in mind that it depends on how many plugins you are using. WPML has to deal with all plugins and so it seems like it's running many queries. Have you read our tips on how to optimize your site: https://wpml.org/2012/01/can-your-site-run-faster/?
Also, depending on how many strings your site has, this can impact performance a little bit. As a suggestion, disable automatic string indexing. To do this, please follow the steps below:
- Go to WPML -> String Translation
- Scroll down and active the "Auto register strings for translation" option
- Click on the "Edit" button
- Uncheck all strings which you do not want to be automatically indexed
- Click on the "Apply" button
Another measure you can take to increase the load time is disabling the setting called 'Adjust IDs for multilingual functionality', under WPML -> Languages -> Make themes work multilingual.
Please give those steps a try and let us know if they solve the issue for you. We're looking forward to your reply.
