This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem: not able to translate footer text including images

Solution: The Theme Options, Widgets, Header, and Footer text can be located on String Translation -> Translate texts in admin screens (Bottom of the screen). In this case the string will need to be added manually to String Translation and the whole HTML code needed to be proper translated.

Hello,

Thank you for contacting WPML Support.

To have a better look at the footer text I will need to have a look into the String Translation Module of your site. I hope this is convenient for you.

I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. It would be better to a testing site where the issue is replicated.

You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

Maybe I'll need to replicate your site locally. For this, I’ll need to temporarily install a plugin called “Duplicator” on your site. This will allow me to create a copy of your site and your content. Once the problem is resolved I will delete the local site. Let me know if this is ok with you.

IMPORTANT

Please make a backup of site files and database before providing us access.
If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box. The private box looks like this:

Kind regards
Andreas

Hello,

I have connected myself now to your site and I was able to add the string for the footer text from the theme options to String Translation.

You can locate further string at String Translation -> Translate texts in admin screens (Bottom of the screen).

Please translate the strings and let me know if you need any further assistance.

Kind regards
Andreas

hi,

thanks for your reply. Maybe i have not explain well last time. That was not the point for me to translate those strings. Yes , i can translate those strings. but the <img src="url"> tag for url not worked as expected(plz find those images i attached at the first ticket).the image for bank cards not showing, the html said that the url is unknow. i guess it's because the translation has change the url from lowercase to uppercase, therefore the images can not be found and display. but it was just my guess. Maybe you know what is the reason for the images not showing?

i'd like to hear further from you.

Many thanks in advance.

Hello,

I do recall while checking your site the images only appeared wrong on one language. Which was the original content language and on which language translation did the issue occur? I am right about the were priory using the same footer text for all languages?

The proper way to translate the footer and header, like also widget titles and theme options is using String Translation.

https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/

Please have a look at my last message. I just connected to your site and I can see that the strings are still not translated.

They appear on String Translation in this way:

<span><a href="<em><u>hidden link</u></em>">XIAOPINGGUO</a></span> IS PROUDLY POWERED BY   <a href="<em><u>hidden link</u></em>">xiaopingguo.dk</a>
||
<a href="<em><u>hidden link</u></em>">handelsbetingelser</a>
||
<a href="<em><u>hidden link</u></em>">Smiley rapport</a>
||
<span>PAYMENT METHODS</span>
<img src="<em><u>hidden link</u></em>" alt="dankort">

<a href="<em><u>hidden link</u></em>">
 <img src="<em><u>hidden link</u></em>" alt="VISA">
</a>
 <a href="<em><u>hidden link</u></em>">
<img src="<em><u>hidden link</u></em>" alt="master card">
</a>

<img src="<em><u>hidden link</u></em>" alt="master card">

You see they are structured in HTML and you are able to edit hrefs, titles, etc.

I hope this answered your questions.

Kind regards
Andreas
