Hi,

I’m trying to help a client who experiences very slow / gateway timeout error when bulk-editing products.
When troubleshooting this I found out when disabling WooCommerce Multilingual plugin, this error almost disappears.

As a temporary solution, I might suggest client to temporary disable this plugin, perform the bulk editing, and then turn plugin on again.

Would this be a risk-free solutions?
Does it affect end-users visiting the site during this de-activation?

Hello,
Thank you for contacting WPML support.

If you deactivate WCML plugin the language information will be kept in the products meta but all products from all languages will be shown in the site. Once you re-activate WCML the site should go back to normal.

Please don't forget to create a full backup of the site before making any changes for security reasons.

Kind regards,
Carlos

Hi,

Ok, thanks! So that procedure would be safe then.
No data will be lost and everything will be normal after re-activation.

Hi there,

Yes! However don't forget to create a full backup of the site before deactivating WCML, just in case you need to restore the site.

Regards,
Carlos
