We have a lot of media that was uploaded via the Media Library. When requesting translation of pages using media that was uploaded through the media library and not attached to a particular post or page it does not show for translation in the advanced translation editor.

Is there a way to make the "Media" post type available in the Translation Management tool to specifically send those attachment post types for translation to get the alt, title, caption, etc translated?

Hello there,

Welcome to WPML support. I'd be assisting you further on this issue.

it's not possible to send only the media files for translation, but you can include all the media files in one of the post or page and send it to the translator. This way while translating the post/page all the media will be translated.

Let me know if this helps.

Thanks
